'07 Vue AM reception

Just bought an "07 Vue, my wife listens to talk radio on AM stations. There is an awful static that the dealer says all Vue's have. Anyone having this problem? Is there a fix?

Re: '07 Vue AM reception

found some useful info, there is a bulletin on this issue. Some customers may complain when listening to a very strong AM station (50kW), if you come within 1 to 2 miles of that AM stations transmitting tower, you will begin to hear popping and static noise. As you get closer to the tower, the signal will become very distorted. The customer may also complain of intermittent response to radio controls when near the tower.
They also may complain when listening to a moderate to strong AM station, the customer may complain that another AM station was "bleeding" over to the station they were listening too.
Note: For this issue the popping/static noise condition is only present when listening to AM stations. The concern is due to an incorrect resistor being installed internal to the radio. Only repair is to replace radio.this bulletin is only for radio's with RPO US8 and US9.can't believe the dealer didn't find this bulletin.it came out 6/27/07.here is the bulletin #1994121.
