Air Bag/front seatbelt warning light

Hey everyone,

Just yesterday the Air Bag/Front Seat Belt Pretensioner System Warning light turned on. I just wonder if this is something I have to pay attention too and if I do can I fixed it myself; or do I have to take to a Mazda dealer. Thanks

Did you have something sitting on the seat? If you have something under 66 pounds, there is a sensor that will turn the air bag off. I had my bookbag I carry for work on my seat and it did the same thing, freaked me out too.

If not, see if there is something under your seat near the seat rails possibly making a false connection.
