I found it interesting that her mother sold the story to the newspapers and tabloids and actually allowed the baby's father to stay over at the Spears home (no doubt knowing that they were having sex. I mean come on - I know my parents know without asking, it's a parent thing). All this from a woman who was going to release a parenting book.

If by sad you mean OUTSTANDING! j/k It is a shame though. So many girls her age, or younger, are being "broken in" way too soon. My sister is 14, and she tells me about how her friends are all sexually active Then again, I remember how people would spread rumors about that sort of thing all the time when I was that age. I don't know though - it seems that Jamie Lynn's generation has more pressure than ever to be sexualized from stuff like MTV and even Disney Channel. I'm beginning to sound like those Bible thumpers that said the same thing about MY generation, but there is a difference I feel. At least in my time, MTV showed quality music videos from real bands. Am I alone in this?
