Question Cruise Control Switches & Adjustment

I have a 2005 LS. Does anyone know how to change out the two cruise control switches in the steering wheel? Also, is there any adjustment for the cruise in order to maintain a more steady speed, like within 1 MPH?

Re: Cruise Control Switches & Adjustment

The steering wheel and the airbag will have to be removed to change the switches. DO NOT mess with the airbag without pulling the airbag fuse, or the negative battery cable, and waiting about 45 minutes.

Thanks. I figured I would have to disable the air bag somehow. Will I have to re-learn the computer after having the battery disconnected for so long?

Yes, and if you happen to power up the vehicle with the airbag disconnected, you will definately set an airbag code that only the dealer can clear. You're treading on some pretty expensive ice. Good Luck
