Durango ABS and brake lights

I have 99 Durango with 97K miles on it. Once in a while while driving the ABS and Brake light come on the dash. If I stop and turn the car off and restart the lights go out. Is this a bad sensor, bad brakes or something else. Anybody else has seen this condition?

Thanks

Re: Durango ABS and brake lights

Thanks guys. It turned out to be a rear wheel speed sensor. It only cost me 184.00 to fix it. A deal compared to what things cost today.

Re: Durango ABS and brake lights

The codes for the ABS system requires a special reader. Autozone and those kind of places don't have it.
They are very expensive.

I have the same problem, after replacing the front and rear wheel sensors and not curing the problem, I just kind of gave up at least for a while.
