2005 Trailblazer Remote Start/Keypad Information

I have a 2005 Trailblazer with a remote start and the extended keypads, which are the Valet three button version. I was wondering if it were possible, if i wanted to to get the Valet four button version to have a seperate unlock and lock button and if i did this would the alarm activate when pressing the lock button twice, because with the three button version the lock and unlock buttons are one in the same and the alarm does not activate. Also how would I go about programming the Valet four button remotes. Thank You for you time and help.

Re: 2005 Trailblazer Remote Start/Keypad Information

More than likely the answer is no. That unit you have is probably the cheapest one DEI makes and it's only a 3 channel system. Technically that 3 button remote is actually a 4 button remote with the extra pad removed. If you pop it apart you'll see it actually has 4 pads inside.

If the remote starter you have is actually a 562t with the 3 button remote then the answer is yes you can. My guess its a 561r you have.
