Headlights on 99 GP GT
Hi
I have a problem with the low beams not coming on, parking lights are on high beams work and DRL are working. Could this be the switch or the sensor on the dash? I tried to turn the headlights on manually an still nothing |

Re: Headlights on 99 GP GT
Welcome to AF.
First check both low beam lamps and make sure they are not bad. The most likely cause is bad contacts in the Multifunction Switch (MFS) at the steering column. The sensor at the dash would cause no auto headlight operation and since the high beams are working you can rule out the headlight switch.

Re: Headlights on 99 GP GT
Is the hi-beam indicator on real dim? I just had a similar problem, and it ended up being a burnt out bulb. The low beam filiment had blown, and then shorted across the hi beam filiment. It caused the hi-beams to go out completely, and the hi beam indicator to stay on dimly when the low beams were on. I changed out the bulb, and all works properly now.
