'01 Accord V6 Timing Belt

Hi,

My helper and I just recently replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner (except for hydraulic part), and idler pulley. The car is running fine after the replacement.

However, I did discover a "left out" part. This part is a washer that goes between the cranksfaft pulley and the timing belt drive pulley. It's thin and about 2 1/2 inches outside diameter with a 1 1/4 inch diameter hole.

Does anyone know how critical this part is and if I should get back in and put it where it's supposed to go? Or will it be Ok to leave it out?

Thanks.
