no go tranny
My 91 accord with an auto transmission isn't working. I backed up out of a parking spot put it in drive and heard a small screech/squeel and wouldn't move. I put the car in park and will still role freely. If I put it in drive, I can hear it shift through all the gears if I give it gas. and the spedo works just like its actually moving. In the dark, I checked the drive shafts and still seem to be intact. could the gears on the shafts be stripped? doesan't grind or anything while in drive. thanks for the help.
