Replacing the rear bearings on an '02 Elantra

Lately I've been noticing a rumbling noise (like a motorcycle) coming from the rear of my '02 Elantra when I take it on the highway above speeds of 45 mph. (it subsides from 55-65mph but then ramps up again). I've been doing some research and I believe it's a real wheel bearing issue.

I have two questions:

1. The research I've done looks like the rear bearings can't be replaced individualy and instead a new hub must be purchased. Is this correct?

2. If I were to purchase a new hub would it be possible to change it on my own instead of having to take it into the dealer and get socked w/ labor fees? Since I would just be replacing the hub I wouldn't have to worry about a machine press, but would there be any specials tools or instructions I would need to know (ammount of torque?).

Thanks!
