Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

The water pump (not reproduced in the kit) was made at the lathe in a single piece with the pulley than filed at hand to have the correct shape of the body.
Update:the kit has the water pump but in the instruction booklet is a "not needed part"(maybe it is for the 934 engine). The old pump was discarded,(only the pulley is the same)and the kit one was used .

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Hello Nino,
superb work so far!
Whish I could do the same to my 935 engine!

But one question: do you leave the paint job on the intakes
as it is?

Uli

Yes the texture of the intercooler cover is a wanted thing, the raw look similar as a casting is. It is obtained with a layer of white glue diluted in water than brushed on and already dusted of flour with a suitable sieve.
In photo the effect is exaggerated but normally seen the effect is better .

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Test fitting of engine , shocks and bodywork to verify the correct ride height.

Some stud bolts and nuts was machined at the lathe to replace here and there the original screws.

I never get tired of looking at this engine. The hose clamps are incredible, just one thing among a whole host of amazing parts.

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Hallo,i'm back after an hard week of work outside Italy. One of the front weels finished, only the rubber must be glued to the rims, can someone suggest me which work best?

A new test fitting has needed, the front ride heigth was adjusted to 14,5 mm of free coil springs. At the rear I have to look for a color very similar to the aluminum of the rim, something like an exact color match:any idea?

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Exellent...as always!

Why do you want to glue the rubbers to the rims? Don't they stay there by themselves? If you absolutely want to i think Superglue ( CA Glue ) would be the right choice.
And i agree....the tyres should get some dulling down of the shine on the sidewalls and some sanding.
