02 Malibu annoying beep sound

My 02 chevy this week started beeping ( its coming from panel inside the car), the sound as if door is left open.

It just beep beep beep...I stopped car, restarted left key in ignitioni for 10 mintues...nothing happens...car has been making beep sound since last 2-3 hours...

what to do. Please suggest.

yes it does not stop beeping, even with door closed and key out of ingition.
Key with ignition , still beeps.

Only thing i did -> got in car, put key in ignition and everything was ok
now a bee got in car...so i pushed the rolldown window to get bee out of car..( i might have opened the door ( driver) to get rid of bee..
Car started beeping ...and has not stoppped ever since.

I drove the car 10-15 mins, it beeped all the way its annoying.

most likely the BCM thinks your door is still open, when it is really closed.. this could be due the driver's door switch that is stuck closed....OR the "key-in sense" switch inside the ignition switch is stuck

Any suggestions where is this switch, can i try to reset it...

try jiggling, turning the key in the ignition a couple of times.. make sure the door is closed while you are doing this.

When you are in the car with your doors closed, does your interior light stay on ?

I appreciate you suggestion.

You were right the interior light was not switching on all this while.

I disconnected the battery, kept it unplugged for about 5 minutes
and then plugged it back.

Surprisingly, beep monster went silent. No problems.
It did the usual beeps it does..a few when you put key in ignition,
and after that silent....

May want to try and spray some WD-40 in the door latches both front doors i had a truck that did thae same thing and The WD-40 cleaned the contacts for the switch, worked for me what do you have to loose :-)
