1997 sunfire standard engine life

My Pontiac Sunfire is reaching 250,000 miles on it's stock engine. How long should my engine last in terms of mileage. It has been well maintained.

Re: 1997 sunfire standard engine life

as long as you continue to maintain the engine, it should be ok, if its not knocking or using oil, enjoy it, but start puttin a bit of money back for an overhaul in the future.. Well maintained engines will last much longer than expected, keep those oil changes on schedule, new air filters on schedule, and good gasoline and it might just surprise you.
