1999 Ranger..Trans?

A question...I have an automatic 1999 ranger...I am able to shift through all the gears but the only one that engages is reverse..I understand worst case scenario is a new transmission...so I guess my question is does this sound major or something that could possibly be minor? Thanks

Can I ask what you were doing before the tran. strated this on you. you might have to check the linkage. Or just do what you were doing to knock it back into place.
