COLD COLD intake
I just found out from one of my buddies who said that he talked to this kid that ran his AC hose through his CAI, and this is the best part... when he races he puts his AC on high because he thinks that his CAI is going to get more horse because the AC cools it down... HOW FUNNY IS THAT!!

pretty funny, especially if you mean the hose that goes to the condensor or the one that comes from the condensor. At best, those two hoses will be the same temp as the air around them. At worst, they'll be hotter.

well..if the A/C cools the intake air somewhat..you'll gain some power. but at the same time your friend turn on his A/C, the car loses typically 5hp because of the engine drag and the power it wasted just to turn the pulley.
so all in all..he's losing power rather than gaining, unless the A/C supplies A LOT of cooling to the intake, which i doubt it will.:o |
