caught with the power
i dont really wanna risk it so....
so what happens if the cops see your sr20? or rb25? i see disclaimers that say, for racing use only, but i doubt thats all its used for. what happens if your caught with it? do they just take it from you? do you get a ticket? do you get a fine? if so how much? and how would they catch you anyways? what are the chances of me getting caught with an sr20 if i had one installed?

I think the sr20 and ka24 almost look identical anyways.... cept the KA24 has sparkplugs on top of the valve cover and different wording on it. The SR has the sparkplugs on the side and a turbo sitting on the exaust flange. Thats about it any person off the street wouldn't know what it was by looking at it, sometimes when I goto shows I have to look hard to tell what engine really is in the car, give it a close inspection. I wouldn't worry about it.

U: You see...engine swaps are all over the place...you just dont catch them COP: Really tell me more... U: Supra engines in IS300's, V8's in Miata's, Datsun's, Focus's...bigger V8's in domestic cars, Rotary engines in Corollas, Starlets, RX7's....supercharged/turbocharged engine swapping in MR2's, Corollas, Tercels...Skyline engines in 240SX's and 300ZX's, and mine...an SR in a 240SX... COP: Hmm U: Yeah...you see it actually does come in this car...just not here... COP: I guess I see your point... U: Glad you do officer COP: I am gonna have to write you up for this illegal tint though... U: Oh crap!!! LOL

thats hilarious~!!! lolz well i think the SR looks completely different from a KA. the KA is a underly squared engine, when a the SR is almost perfectly squared therefore more revable and less torque. plus its got sooo much more space between the block and the fan. the KA its cramped. and not to mention those monsterious intake manifolds sticking out of a KA24DE.
