Question MY 3000gt VR4 Lifter Tick please help!!!

Hi everyone im new to this forum I like it so far but down to busness I recently bought a 92 vr4 and when I bought it its was like perfect running condition except one change the lifters are ticking it was not doing it when I bought it..here is the funny thing I have not driven car yet it has just been sitting getting started once a day. Can the lifters just start making noise even when car was not being used ...Is it possible that they are ticking cuase the car has been sitting P.S I tried putting in lucas oil and 20/50 mix.Did not clear noise. The car has 143,000 miles feels good sounds good but how long can the engine last in vr4 and turbos I use to own 3000gt s/l whole new ball game I love it just cant wait to drive please help thanks!!!

lifter tick wont damage your engine. check out http://www.3si.org/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=23316 or go to http://www.stealth316.com/0-frames.htm and check in the technical section for how to clear it up (without actuall changing the lifters)
