Mustang vs Cutlass

Hello, I was just wanting to get everyone's opinion on this one. Who would win in a drag race: a 2000 Mustang (v6 200hp 3.8L) or a 1971 cutless supreme with a 350 engine (5.7L). The only reason why I have been told that the Mustang owuld win was because of the cutless's weight disadvantage. Thanks.

Your in HS and have a 2000 Stang. I had a 74 Pinto in HS , but I like Pintos so it was cool. Kids now days

If he has any mods to his 350 he'll beat you. If you road race my money is on the stang.

I have a '71, but it came stock with and still has the 2bbl rodchester. You'll likely get him. But a 4bbl quadra junk was also an option. if thats the case it will be a much better race.

Hey , Do I have a great idea for you.
Go to Rconcepts.com and download DRAGSTRIP PLUS. It is a collection of information from other cars just like yours. Once you have all the necessary specs including both veh. weights, rear gears, cam specs, etc, you can enter them and it can pretty much figure out which is quicker without even leaving your computer. It sure beats tearing up your car to win a bet and risking your licence too.
A friend of mine ran a 400 powered Malibu at the track and then tried DRAGSTRIP PLUS and it is within a tenth.
It also tells you where your weak points are and what to do to make your car quicker. You can also create a really fast car out of your car by souping it up on the computer. Very neat.
