keeping cai cool
if i used some kind of heatshield wrap like that stuff used to wrap headers to help keep the heat in... would it help keep the air cold if i wrapped the intake with it?

in theory it is supposed to work like that, but most intakes are already made of a material, and coated with other materials that insulate the air. it wouldnt hurt to put it on there, but dont expect to notice anything with it on there either. it would work just as well to use some spray paint to coat the inside and out of the tube. that would look a lot nicer as well. you could also build a little heat shield out of sheet metal that would seperate most of the tubing from the rest of the motor, but this seems like overkill to me. at least make it look good whichever way you go, and you should be happy.
