Question 94' or 95 soft top, is there a difference??

so i just got the hardware for a soft top for my 95' but in looking at the tops themselves i have noticed that they split it off at 94'. so my question is what is the difference if any between the 2 tops and will an 94' fit a 95'?

Re: 94' or 95 soft top, is there a difference??

The guy who bought my '95 originally had the removable hard tops installed when he bought it, so I don't know from experience what that top would be like. From what I've read in the owner's manual, it has five snaps to hold it to the front bow. The '94 has 5 nylon clips that fit into slots instead.

In the rear, the '94 has a nylon or fiberglass rod that slides through the bottom of the window that fastens to three clips on the tailgate. From what I remember the salesman telling me back in '95 when I was looking at them, Geo added a bar across the back for the window and top to fasten to, so you could just open the tailgate without going to all kinds of trouble.

Did the stock '95 tops have removable side windows or was that just in the aftermarket ones?

I'd like to get the parts I need to get a soft top for my '95. Any information as to what I need would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! ;-)

I think there's more than a slight difference. :-(
