85 Type T transmission Swap

I'm looking forward to a transmission swap on an 85 Type T. Not yet quite sure of exact transmission model (440-T4, T4-60 ?) Any comments on likely trans. designation? Also, is there any special precautions on removing both drive axles - does differential carrier need to be supported? I'd appreciate any special tales of 'wish I hadn't done that' variety. Thx - Ed

The transaxle should be a 4T60 used up through the early 90's.
