ABS & Faulty Passenger Brake Light

My ABS light would turn on when I would drive in reverse. THis happened every morning. I realized that if I shut the van and then restarted, the light would stay off. The shop wanted $400+ to replace the front hub and sensor. I also had a faulty rear passenger taillight circuit board.
I didn't know about the circuit board until I read it in this forum.
I bought one on Ebay for $20 and after installing the circuit board my problems are gone. Brake lights and directionals work A-OK and no more ABS light.

Knowledge is power and it can save you some money!

Just a headsup on this repair. You need to goop weatherproof silicone (I used the clear stuff on mine) over that connection to the circuit board to prevent this from happenining again. I did my own cut out the bad and splice in new leads, etc. work and applied the silicone and it has worked fine for 2 yrs now on my '97.
