Banging noise...frt/rear..

when i hit bumps i hear an annoying banging noise from the struts .. does it need struts or are the bushings gone? the car has 120k on it... thanks for your help

Most likely cause is the struts, but the best thing to do is always to get it to a shop to have tehm diagnose it.

Is the noise from every corner of the car?

Does it happen only over bumps?

As a general rule of thumb, most manufacturers recommend new shocks/struts every 60k or so as preventative maintenance.

If it is as bad as it sounds then there is most likely hydraulic fluid moisture on the strut assemblys themselves.
