Door code key unknown
I just purchased a 2003 Ford Taurus SLE that only has one key and fob. I do not know the key code for the door entry panel. Where can I find this?
Thanks |

Re: Door code key unknown
The code is, should be, in at least a couple of places.. in the trunk on the module, or in the passenger compartment, I believe on the pcm module... as a last resort the dealer can pull the code from the pcm, what the procedure is to do that I wish I could find it out.. I can't even find it in my manuals, unless it's combined with some other procedure also

Re: Door code key unknown
I found the code. It is under the dash on the driver's side on the back of what I believe is the fuse box. The sticker is white with black letters and says entry code with a 5 digit code. It is partially attached to the back of the box and faces the firewall. You have to bend the sticker toward you in order to read it.

The procedure to pull the code from the OBD-II port requires a professional scan tool, there's not a way to pull the code over the OBD interface with a consumer-grade scan tool or without a scan tool. -Rod |
