karmann ghia What Year For The Semi Automatic Tranny

hi I looking to get a model car for my mom her first car was a karmann ghia with a semi automatic transmission it was the first year karmann ghia came out with automatic transmissions. but i can not find out what year it is nore is there a forum for karmann ghia if anyone can help please get back to me

I believe the semi-automatic transmissions were available in the type III (square & slant-back) VWs about 1967. So I would presume it would be the same year for the Ghias. But Ghias looked about the same from the early 60s on up through the last years they made them - at least at the level of a scale model.

ah ok ya i trying to find a model for my mom it was her first car and she liked it but when they had the semi automatic it was a terrible tranny she said cuz it had problems shifting and stuff


but i just having hard time trying to find a model cant get the real car in canada
