Warning Lights when start 2003 Impala

Just recently...my BRAKE FLUID LOW light...and TRACTION OFF light have come on when I start car in the morning.

It is usually ok...starting up...then...when I pull out into the street and give it some gas.....THESE LIGHTS come on the dash....

I just had engine oil changed..and they check the fluid levels in all resevors and ALL fluids...including BRAKE fluid was fine.....?

They eventually go off after driving it for a few minutes...

Any ideas?

Thanks
MikeV

Re: Warning Lights when start 2003 Impala

As long as the indicator goes off quickly as you use the brakes and never happens during or shortly after a drive, suspect the colder weather, and the possibility that there may be moisture (or even air) in the brake fluid (has the brake system ever been flushed/refilled/bled?).

* one more thing... as the brake pads (or rotors) wear, the fluid level will get lower. Maybe your rotors and pads need some attention.
