Several past discussions have narrowed this one down to #029 or #039. Figure out the chassis number of the F1 in Mexico and I will tell you which car this one is, or vice versa. This was the car spotted at Iding Power once we stopped imagining that it was the Tag Heuer F1, presumed to have been #012. It's also prominently displayed in one of the videos that Le Man has shared screengrabs from.

I believe the original owner of this car was also the original owner of chassis #018.

Something else, very interesting, that I just found - you'll need to register to see the images:

You'd think the Art Sports ad would mention that engine if it had it...

I don't know... That seems to be what's implied by his posts.

It would certainly be the most outrageous thing I have ever heard in relation to the F1.

Its been a few years, but might be worth contact the BimmerForums poster to see what else he can tell us.

...and if the Chassis History Poster included with "Driving Ambition" is also correct.

Great find there though - I didn't have time to disect the listing earlier. That makes the car seen in Mexico most likely #039. We can call it "mystery solved" when we have a shot of the chassis plate on one of these brown cars.

The picture of the engine seems to set aside the idea of any upgrade having been done. Phew - that was a close one...

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Hi!

Is there a chance, that this colour is Creighton Brown?
This special pinkish-brown shade made for a japanese customer?

It is mentioned in this thread, that there is a possibility that the chassis#s 029 and 039 were mixed on the poster from "Driving Ambition" - the car in Creighton Brown and Creighton Brown's own car...

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

^^ Yes, there is a chance, although after reading Le Man's post re Burajirianburuan its not quite 50/50. There have been a few anomolies on the DA poster as mentioned by Erik a couple of posts up, and we are still not 100% as to which car is which colour brown. Both Erik and Le Man has had some great contact and posts regarding the darker brown F1 here, here and here

The chassis plate shot will be the defining answer to what chassis is what colour.

Anything is possible with these two cars - really!

I tend to think the one seen in Mexico looks more like the color references I have found for "Brazilian Brown" than this car does. Maybe ArtSports got the detail on the color name wrong...? Again, the chassis plate will answer all (or most?) questions here.

Anyone up for a trip to Japan this week?
