2002 VW passat GLX 4Motion

Hi there-
I have a line on a 2002 VW Passat GLX w 4Motion. It has 86000 miles on it. Is this a good vehicle? I've read mixed reviews on the web...people like it, people don't like it. Assume it checks out ok at the mechanic, anything specific as far as pro/cons go? I see a lot of the MAF/ignition coils/etc issues, but not sure if once they're fixed, they're ok.

Any opinions are appreciated.
