98 Durango Stalling

My 98 Durango will start after sitting for a few day, but after driving less than a mile it will stall without warning. It used to start after about 30 minutes, but now it won't start at all. It will crank, but not start. No check engine light is on. Please help me...

I'd start with a fuel filter.
Check the battery connections.
Check the fluid levels.
Upgrade the AAA.

Re: 98 Durango Stalling

I was told it was the fuel filter by many people, it wasn't. It was the crank shaft sensor. After replacing it it worked for a month or so then started doing the same thing again. I replaced the IAC valve and it again worked great for about a month or so and started doing the same thing. I eventially traded it. Good luck to you.

I am thinking this is the only way to solve problems on this car.

after reading many posts, we went to our mechanic and had him replace the pcm because our 98 started stalling too. PCM replaced...... have had no problems in several months. Dont go through all the other sensor replacemnts and such that they suggest it could be.... pcm should be your fix. If you have any questions let me know.... [email protected]
