Another "Cold" Question
I have never driven my eclipse in the winter before so im not sure if these are common problems with the cold weather and our cars.... I just want to make it clear i only have these issues when its nice and cold outside.
-Brake light stays on when brake is not applied... -Dome lights only turn on when passenger door is opened... WTF? -Fucking blinkers...this drives me nuts!.!.!. My blinkers will work fine 99% of the time, but ever since it has gotten really cold they have started just completely not working at the most random of times... I have checked all of my fuses and messed around with all of my problems, there are no consistencies, except for the brake light, that always happens... could be air in lines...not sure, but the blinkers is a problem... It makes no sence... when i move (im going to call it the blinker rod, lol) up or down it clickes into place, but not even the dash blinker lights turn on, I GET NOTHING... its like the entire blinker system goes dead. I have tried turning the car off and back on and it doesnt work, but if i run into a store or something and the car sits off for a little while, it seems to fix the problem sometimes, but not always... I guess i did forget to check the bulbs, but that seems irrelivant to me... My conclusion is that my car hates me because i am driving it in the cold. (Saturn blew a rod...) Could it be the cold? Any ideas on any of my fun problems? The most important is obviously the blinker problem, so i would say thats my first priority but any info on any of them would be great, Thanks!

Re: Another "Cold" Question
When I had the dash out of mine, I forgot to plug in the hazard switch and I didn't have blinkers for like 2 weeks and couldn't figure out why for the life of me. Then I got smart and got a wiring diagram and fixed it in 5 minutes, you might want to check that out. If the bulbs were burnt in the blinkers, they would blink really fast. As for the brake light, do all of them stay on or just the bottom ones or just the 3rd light or what?

Re: Another "Cold" Question
My blinkers did that one time. I pushed the lever down to turn left and nothing. Turned them off and on again and worked fine. I think the switch may get stuck in the cold weather or something.

Re: Another "Cold" Question
I meant the e-brake light in the dash...
