95 nissan pickup 6cyl

my truck started losing power and now will not crank over. It will start if I push it and pop the clutch but will only run for about 5 minutes and then stops. Will not crank over. all light work, horn, dash etc. Any clues to this problem Thank You

Re: 95 nissan pickup 6cyl

My opinion... "Classic bad alternator symptom"

If you can start it and then have it run at idle long enough to do a voltage check across the battery... see if the alternator is working.
Should read at least 14 volts.
