Trans. 0700 Control System Malfunction

Okay I got the codes of of another post and 0700 came up. It says its a Control System Malfunction, does anyone here have a clue on what steps I should take next? Does it mean the Control System is bad? Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.

Re: Trans. 0700 Control System Malfunction

Well figure I better explain the issue. THe transmission wants to downshift or something like that at inbetween 30-45 mph. The engine light is on.
Could it be as simple as a Transmission Kickdown soleniod? Should I try that or is there a way to test the kick down soleniod before replacing it?

You need to get it scanned with a OE level transmission diagnositc scanner there is more to that P0700. The p0700 is kind of just a generic fault code.
