Hi,
I have recently been using the AC regulalry while drivin my 2001 Galant. however recently i noticed some sound from the direction of passenger side glove compartment whenever i made a sharp turn, which sounded like collected water flowing to one side due to the inertia of the turn. Today i also noticed the same ominous sign of teh front passnger side carpet all soaked up and th ewater seemd to be commin from under the glove compartment Please advice, thanx in advance Lewis |

Re: Another 2001 Mitsubishi Galant Leak
I have had the same problem, with a quote of 1,000.00+ to pull the dash and find the problem. I cut off my airconditioner in one of the hottest summers in history here. Now the car smells so musty I can hardly stand it. I had the tube cleared twice but still had the water problem. My e-mail is [email protected] if you have any suggestions for me.

Re: Another 2001 Mitsubishi Galant Leak
Have you check if it's water or engine coolant(usually green stuff)? If it's water it means that the A/C drain hose may be blocked and causing condensated water to overflow inside the car....but if it's coolant, then the heater unit has got a leak.

This is an old issue - search on the forum. The condensate drain line plugs up and needs to be cleaned. Not a big deal, but a little tight to get it done.
