Re: Black cherry Project

Lol.. thanks
.. too many! I'm only claiming 3 dsms as mine
We have:
90 red talon - (ear broke off on the block, getting sold)
92 red laser - (60-1 car, going to auto since Brendan can't shift)
94 red talon - (getting a motor in and selling)
91 green eclipse - (auto, Brendan's DD)
91 blue talon - (needs a crank)
91 black cherry - (needs core support, got hit in front)
91 black cherry - (My car, this thread)
91 silver talon - (my car, other thread)
91 silver eclipse - (my DD)
92 white laser - (parts car)
91 black gaylant - (burn victim)

(they're all AWD)

God damn that is a clean shell. The fended dents, 1/4 panel rust spots, and crunched front bumper on my car are REALLY jealous of you right now.

Oh and this car even runs.. well I guess it did before parts started getting taken off it.
Does have a straight body, but the oxidization just kills it. So re-paint is a must. I was thinking doing it a solid, but not quite the original black cherry.. Kinda more of a black w/ red tint.. so it still has the black cherry look, but more of this color in the day:

Re: Black cherry Project

Getting parts taken off it, is it a parts car? Or is the other one? Because if so and you have a good front bumper and a straight set of fenders I know someone who might want them.

It had a weird knock, so it got parked. As it was parked, the dejon pipes got put on the green eclipse.
The other black cherry is Brendan's baby, so I'm going to try and get a core support for Christmas to get it finished. He loves that car to death, and cried when I got him the other black cherry to replace the one that got hit.. then I kinda took it over since I like it too
-- story: That is his first dsm. I drove it to work, and a 70 year old lady ran a red light and hit me head on, totalling the car.
The parts car is the white laser. It's pretty junk other then 1gb lights.

Re: Black cherry Project

Brendan's car:

After:

Fenders are still good.. It just needs a new front bumper, the spare hood/headlight covers painted.. and the core support

It was Brendan's first dsm.. I drove it to work, and on my way home, a 70 year old lady ran the red light and hit me head on.

Re: Black cherry Project

Unfortunately, only half run. But my car (silver eclipse) is pretty reliable. The only thing wrong right now is a flat tire
After they get through the maintenance stage, they are usually pretty good about being reliable. The worst we've had so far was a car we bought with a blown headgasket and it kept overheating after that.

So maybe 50$ a month for misc parts
