VAG TAcho

Hi, Can you help me? I just bought this vag tacho item of you last week. I have a 2003 Vw Passat 96kw engine 130 BHP. I received a disc with the 16 pin scart lead connector. I have installed the disc in my laptop and downloaded the software. I plugged the lead into the connector under the steering wheel area. I then plugged the lead into rear of laptop. I have started the disc it seems to be working. When I open the Vag tacho exe, file it comes up on screen but KEEPS saying K line not found and the buttons on the bottom of the screen that should open saying connect to new vdo or change odometer etc just stay greyed out. What do i have to do? I have been at this all freakin weekend and its driving me crazy!!. Do i need to install new drivers or what? The green light comes on the scart connector when i plug it in and it fits fine. Can you please help me? How do i get this stupid thing to work.
im not clocking it im only try to reset the service light which my stupid mechanic couldnt do.
can any one fix it for me??
step by step ?
park motors wanted 167 euro to reset it because work wasnt carried out there

Re: VAG TAcho

Nobody has any experience with Vag-Tacho? I have a similar problem and could also use some insight. My software worked for a day and connected fine, now I need to check settings again and it says 'USB to K-Line interface not found' no matter what I do.

Very aggrivating and I can sympathize with the OP
