More power

Well I have had my GTP 01 for 10 months and love it. I also own 2 crotch rockets one of witch is a 03 cbr954rr with about 20 extra ponies and 30lbs less weight( wet is 402lbs fully fueled and 175hp at the crank) This is my problem, I love the body style and price of the car, a new GP means no more bike, but need more hp. Have considered from Thrasher to install new cam and springs, intercooler, 2.6 or 3" pulley, air intake, and exhaust. All this with reprograming the comp will get me up to 100 more hp for less than 6 g's. Can the front whell drive system take it? My other problem is very bothersome. Automatics are too stupid to shift correctly. At full throttle I am waisting power because it shifts too late. Remember peak hp and tourque does not come at the redline. Can I get anything for the tranny, I have grown up having standard trannys all my life but like the fact that I can fit 4 friends and golf bags in the car and still have room for beer. This car is a toy not a commuter. P.S. speedo stops at 110mph but the hud doesn't (not that a good boy like myself would ever speed).

Re: More power

ZZP sells a transmission that will handle the HP. The shift control points can be changed with a reprogrammed PCM. Also ZZP sells stronger axle shafts for this particular car. Based on the mods you indicate you may also want to install new injectors that can put more fuel into the system when needed. Of course you can always go with NOS if you really want more power.
