After Changing Tranny fluid...
After changing the tranny fluid in my '98 JGC with 177k on it, I noticed two small drops of fluid hanging off the pan after sitting all night. When I was bolting the pan back on, two of the bolts would not torch down, they screwed in fine but would just spin once all the way in. The fluid hasn't hit the ground yet, but I hate knowing that fluid is leaking.
Any remedies for this situation? Would a slightly bigger bolt work? |

Re: After Changing Tranny fluid...
Try some RTV gasket sealant. You might need to drop the pan (again) to make a good seal, but I've heard of some people cleaning the area with something like acetone then just sealing the edge of the drip pan. You could try some bigger bolts; I would recommend tapping a new hole so you have good threads.
