2000 wont start but slowly turns over
i went to start the car last night after sitting in 10 degree weather for a couple days. anyway it turned over completed, acted like it would start then died. typical after a fews days of sitting. tried to start again and it would crank very slowly. i figured maybe it was the battery even though the lights were still very bright. i changed the battery and the slow cranking is still happening and it wont fire. dont smell gas.
right now im thinking starter. anybody have similar problems? its going into a local shop right now... ......a dealer seems to have some good deals on 2007 mkz's.......... |

Re: 2000 wont start but slowly turns over
You didn't happen to use something other than the recommended 5W-20 at the last oil change, did you?
Battery was going to be my first suggestion, but you already addressed that. I trust you verified the cables are clean and tight? -Rod |
