Re: Did the dealership lie to me?

97ventureowner, very good, when I lived in Charlotte NC there was a parts store there that had that as well and also was open 24/7. Night hours had a secure pass through for parts....Named Crazy Joes...May still exist but this was in 83.....I used them quite a bit while living there. Haven't seen anything like that since.

I have the shop manual for my silverado I could not find the inner tie rod torque spec listed. I went to dealer's and got many different answers. so I guessed. for the given size 70ft. Lbs torque and added medium lock tight to threads. then I tried to inform helms that this componet was missing in the manual I paid 120.oo for. they don't care!

Re: Did the dealership lie to me?

i think my local library has the books for some cars. I haven't actually looked, but I believe I've heard someone talking about them...will look into that, not that it would help anyone since it's my local library, but perhaps others are the same.

Re: Did the dealership lie to me?

We've gotten a bit off subject of the thread here. I hope the situation for the original poster has been addressed to their satisfaction. A new thread should be started if this latter discussion would like to be continued as far as information sources are concerned. Everybodys input is appreciated and thanks to all.
