How much work to add CD player (changer) to 2001 Conti with Alpine radio?

Hi,

I just bought a 2001 Continental with center console. It has the Alpine radio/cassette but no CD. How hard would it be to add a CD player or changer? Does it require replacing the head unit or adding player is an option?

I have checked Crutchfield for options and found CD changer that will work with Apline stereo but I have no idea how much work is involved. The other option (a radio controlled CD changer) is not going to work where I live (close to NYC) as all the frequencies are pretty much used.
