can you figure it out???? please help

got a 89 four cylinder 2.3l mustang, will not start, friend told me fuel pump, changed it no start. checked fuel psi, 40 psi,(good) check for spark, good, pull out fuel injectors and rail and try to start, can see fuel comming out of injectors. spraying fuel from spray bottle into intake car will run.my thoughts were fuel fuel fuel, but i can visually see fuel com out of injectors while cranking with the rail out. any guesses.

Re: can you figure it out???? please help

well engines just need air spark and fuel, youve definitely got fuel (good fuel?) what happend when it started doing this, did it quit while it was running or did it just not want to start one morning?

double check the free things before you start spending money, perhaps the firing order is off for whatever reason, that would make it not start.

one other thing, how does it turn over? is it fast slow? can you see the pulleys turn back the other direction at any time when trying to start the engine?
