'49 Merc body pics

Hi guys.

Well, this is the first body I airbrushed. It started off as a scrap body, but I found the rest of the origional kit in my Dad's parts box, so I think I'll finish it sometime.

Anyway, the paint came out with some orange peel, but after quite a bit of wetsanding and polishing, this is the result. I'll try to post some pics of the rest of the origional kit sometime soon.

Coug

For your first paint with a air brush it looks pretty good. What sort of plans do you have for it??

Nice body of a classic Mercedes.
How old is this model?
I'm imagining it already build, black body and lots of chrome parts.

Sorry, guys... I didn't mean to mislead you. It's a '49 Mercury, not a Mercedes.

Anyway, it was actually my Dad's model from (I think) around the late '50s or early '60s. I was origionally going to use the body as a scrap "test" body, since I couldn't find the rest of the model. After I airbrushed it just for practice, I found the rest of the model in a different box, so I'll probably end up putting it back together.

Thanks for the comments!
