92 Civic: trouble getting the key out in the cold
Hey all,
I have a 92 Civic lx with 250,000 km's. When it's cold and i try to take the key out of the ignition it does let me. Lately, i've been having to bang on the ignition and the gear change then turn the steering wheel while turning to the key to take it out. Big headache lol. I've read that it might be a problem with the gear shift, any ideas? |

Re: 92 Civic: trouble getting the key out in the cold
Is it an automatic transmission? If it is, then it might be the ignition key solinoid swith in the shifter assembly gone bad or the shifter pin is not engauging the switch fully. You will probably need to remove the center floor console to check the switch.
