Re: so yeah...

also good points. i left those out.

the boost per gear thing, you can also (and I have done it this way) just use contact switches in the "gates" of the shifter... in first and second, it kicked a solenoid that would open @ 7 PSI, to help kick the wheel spin out... b/c @ 3400 RPM, the turbo would spool in my friends DSM... and it would rip the rubber apart 1st and 2nd gear, and chirp in 3rd... wayyyyy too much power for the rubber he was using.. (basic street tires.. they were seriously shitty)

Re: so yeah...

Yeah, the only thing I dont like about that boost limiting is what if your slipping the clutch..or your clutch just slips anyway?

Re: so yeah...

If your clutch slips, wouldn't boost limiting be a good thing? I mean, you don't want to make more power than your clutch can handle, and if it's already slipping, making insane amts of boost will just fuck it up more, right? Maybe I'm wrong there, but I don't think so... got some pics of the car coming in 5 mins... just getting them uploaded now.

Re: so yeah...

Im saying, it wouldnt work right if it slipped, wouldnt be able to calculate the correct gear. Speaking of slipping clutches, I did a full 50ft clutch burnout last night..no wheel spin, its so toast.

Re: so yeah...

ouch.. yeah, it's beat.. I used to have a '88 Cavvy.. the clutch was bad, it would only grab @ full throttle when it heated up, and as soon as you let off the throttle, it would start slipping again.. it finally blew about 10 mins from my dad's house, as I was driving it back from the place I bought it... so I had to walk home, and have him help me tow it back... never did end up doing anything w/ it, b/c I lost my Z24 that I WAS using for a donor car... but I bought another one, so when I find another RS, I'm good to go.

Re: so yeah...

Ive got a camaro sitting with the engine half pulled out right now. Plans were to drop a 350 ramjet crate engine in, but we only have gone as far as taking all the accessories off and undoing the tranny bolts and mounts. Meh, its my dads project and im not touching it, I hate that style of camaro, its a 95

Re: so yeah...

ew... I prefer the mid 80's to early 90's style... like 88... seems like 88 is a good year for me for cars, actually... 88-89. most of my cars have been in that range.
