Turbo or motor HELP ME OUT

Hey. i have just got a 2002 mitsubishi lancer oz rally. and i was looking in to a turbo after i drove it. Its not slow for a sedan but its not quick either. i was either deciding to turbo the car with a garret t28 kit? or i was going to put a 2000+ Mitsubisi eclipse 2.4l 4g64 wich is basically a stroked 4g63t. these engines are verry strong and have rated to be able to hold around 17 psi. I know the steps to do this and my uncle has been a mechanic all his life and knows just about everything. he says i shoudl stroke and im leaning torward that to but i want to know what youi guys think. money is not an issue in this case and i will be decking this motor out before install. Soo give me your opinon thanks.

Re: Turbo or motor HELP ME OUT

Nitrous, is always good its on my 02 ws6, in your case I would put the turbo kit on the car and remember its easier to turn a stock stroke on a motor, meaning you canrev the engine higher. I was looking to stroke my LS1 out but for what I'm going to do with it, its going to be eaisier to turn the stock stroke, but a stroked four cylinder is still a four cylinder with no power adders, now the 4g64 your talking about will be faster than your stock motor, but for the money you will spend to get the motor and stroke it, or even if you buy it already stroked you still could have put on the turbo and made much more power.

Re: Turbo or motor HELP ME OUT

You sold it for 7500? You just got royally screwed, I have an 03 Lancer Evo 8 that I just bought 2 weeks ago for 20grand, It's 243 HP and Turbo, for your car? I don't know the actual condition, but if it was in good shape? I'd of gotten 10 grand easy.
