stalling and bucking? '00 bravada

I LOVE my car, but lately I have been ready to sell it. It seems like it's falling apart left and right. Suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a '00 bravada, with just under 103k and I "think" it has a v6 (does that sound right?) engine. I say that only because I heard my Dad say it has the same engine as what's in his van.

Anyway- a month ago after spending the day out and about with the family, it started dying after coming to a stop and then accelerating. I thought it had to do with my recent oil change so I took it back to the shop. That wasnt the case. My husband seems to think it's the fuel pump, but hasn't investigated enough to know for sure. He just said "Keep a full tank of gas in it and you should be alright..." so that's what I have been doing. No stalling.

Yesterday, while out again, everytime I would stop or slow down, and then accelerated again it would "punch" or "buck" it's way thru the upshifts. Causing the car to jerk.

Could the two symptoms be related? Or are they totally different? Ideas?

We have only needed routine work done on it, the brakes, oil change... wait, I take that back. It was leaking oil 2 year ago, and they replaced the cap and tubing. My husband usually takes care of this stuff, so that's the only reason I am not 100% on everything.

I am just wondering what could be wrong and if it can be fixed for relatively not a lot of money or if we should start looking for another car.

Oh, did I mention that the first time it "jerked" us stuff from the dashboard came out?!?! The "Bravada smartrack" plastic thing, and the rear wiper control panel. Yeah, that was exciting!!

I forgot to mention that our "electric plug in's" (cant think of the right word, I apologize) under the dash (like for your car phone charger), are acting dead. hmmm...

Sounds like a stuck EGR valve, any check engine or service engine soon lights on when it happens? check for stored codes.
