94 4.3L engines dies once a month
Ive been driving my car 6 days a week to go to work and to school and since April about once a month while im driving the car it will just die in the middle of the road. Once it dies and i start it up the car runs fine for the rest of the drive and I wont have that problem again for about another month. What could be causing this?

Re: 94 4.3L engines dies once a month
Hello, first can you hear if the fuel pump is on or not right before it dies? Next pull over and turn the key to the "ON" position, to don start the can. When you do this see if you can hear the fuel pump then. Then start the car and see if it take a few timne of cranking to get it to go... Most likely its the fuel pump and/or the fuel filter............

Re: 94 4.3L engines dies once a month
Check the stud for the battery cable at the underhood fuse box. If the stud is silver it is BAD, it was such a problem GM issued a Technical Service Bulletin and was replacing them with brass studs. These in extreme situations can become so bad that they overheat and catch the plastic on fire. The replacement brass stud is dirt cheap.
This is the best idea I have for our symptoms, if it already has the updated brass stud let us know and we can try some more ideas.
