1997 Honda Accord EX - To Buy or Not To Buy?

Hi, I'm wondering whether or not a 1997 Honda Accord EX (2.7L V6) with 183,000 miles is worth $3,900? 183,000 miles is ALOT of miles regardless if it's a Honda or not. This is probably the wrong place to ask if I should buy this vehicle, being as the answers may be a little biased, but, will this car (mainly the engine and transmission) last?

i don'r really think its worth it for that much, it could probally make it alot longer but im sure you could find a much better deal. i just went to cars.com for like 2 minutes and found an accord w/ 110k for about the same, forgranet we don't live in the same area but i think you can do better

Re: 1997 Honda Accord EX - To Buy or Not To Buy?

Honda's will last a long time. I used to have a CRX and an Integra. 200K+ on each of them - the motors still ran real strong. Just change the oil and keep up on maintenance - these cars just keep on ticking.

If you are interested, here are soe ACTUAL prices paid by people for the Honda Accord. It may help you decide if the offered price is reasonable or not - these aren't KBB or Edmunds estimates.

Good luck!
