Keyless Remote Programming

Can a keyless remote for a 2006 Buick LaCrosse be programmed only through a dealership or can it be done elsewhere also. I do not have a car with auto start. I originally thought it was just a low battery, but even after replacing it, the system does not work. I know how to open with a key, but sure is easier to use the keyless, especially for the trunk opening. I am just trying to avoid a 1/2 wait at a dealership.

Unfortunately, your vehicle requires that transmitter programming be done using the Tech 2.
