Talking '93 Villager Cruise Control Stopped Working

My '93 Villager's cruise control suddenly stopped working. Is there a hidden fuse? What could be the reason it does not work. Any help would be appreciated. Is this a common thing?

Re: '93 Villager Cruise Control Stopped Working

According to the wiring diagram, ther are 4 fuses associated with the cruise control, I'm not sure where they are located, they are a 15a to the stop lamp switch, a 10a to the ASCD hold relay, a 10a to the inhibitor switch, and a 15a to the horn relay. Are you getting the cruise light to come on yet it is not holding speed? what are your other indications?

Thanks for the reply. Yes the cruise switch light is coming on but there is no holding a speed when I press the cruise button on the steering wheel.

Re: '93 Villager Cruise Control Stopped Working

Thanks for the question about my '93 Villager cruise control. To answer, no I have not found a fix yet. I checked all 4 associated fuses which are okay. Do you have a fix?

Where exactly is the speed sensor located? What kind of cost are we looking at?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Unfortunately the link to the sensor location did not work.
But the link to cost included a photo of the sensor which helped.

Mine stopped working. The problem was the vacuum line came off. While I was replacing the AC receiver it must have been yanked. The cruise was working and then just stopped. For anyone with sudden complete failure of the speed control, check your Vacuum line from the Vac control modual to the passenger side of the intake.
